A heavy equipment maintenance technician performs routine maintenance and repairs on equipment such as excavators, loaders, graders, and compactors. Their duties include inspecting equipment, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems, and replacing damaged parts to ensure efficient operation. They also adhere to safety standards, write maintenance reports, and coordinate with the team to ensure equipment is ready for projects on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma / Industrial Technical Institute (Specialization: Mechanics - Electricity - Heavy Equipment).
  • Excellent knowledge of reading equipment diagrams, Service Manual & Parts Manual.
  • 1-3 years experience in the maintenance of heavy equipment such as: excavators, loaders, graders, compactors, finishers…etc.
  • Experience in maintaining hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems in equipment.
